Facial harmonization has become a fashionable term in aesthetic medicine, being one of the most requested treatments by both men and women due to its effective results. This approach consists of a series of aesthetic procedures that include biostimulators, tension threads, botulinum toxin and hyaluronic acid, among others. Its main objective is to enhance the natural beauty of each individual through small modifications to the facial physiognomy, highlighting their outstanding features and softening imperfections.
Each face is unique and requires a personalized approach. Before starting the procedure, our specialized doctor performs a detailed analysis of each patient’s facial characteristics. This study allows us to identify the areas where the necessary changes will be made and define the objectives to be achieved. The possibilities are diverse, from smoothing wrinkles and furrows to nourishing and regenerating the skin, filling cheekbones, chin, lips, nose, marking the jaw, treating dark circles, and more.
In addition, we evaluate imperfections that may give an aged or damaged appearance at the dermal level, in order to work on these areas and achieve complete rejuvenation.
A common question among our patients is: “How much hyaluronic acid do I need?” The answer is not universal, since it depends on the specific treatment that will be performed on each patient. Most brands of medical-aesthetic products offer hyaluronic acid in 1 ml vials, although there are also other sizes, such as 0.8 ml and even 2 ml.
It is important to note that 1 ml of filler is a small volume, and the appropriate amount for each treatment must be determined by our doctor based on a detailed diagnosis and the individual needs of the patient. The choice of hyaluronic acid density also influences the results. Therefore, the number of syringes required to harmonize a face will vary depending on the areas to be treated and the needs of the patient, which can range from 2 or 3 syringes onwards.
As an example, we provide approximate quantities depending on the area to be treated:
Lips: Typically, 1 vial of hyaluronic acid is used to achieve the desired volume, contour, correct asymmetries or hydrate.
Cheekbones: For longer-lasting results, a high-density hyaluronic acid is used. The appropriate amount varies according to the needs of each case, and may be 1 ml or more per side.
Remodeling of the facial oval: This treatment requires several syringes of hyaluronic acid, especially if you want to define the entire jaw line. Women usually need at least 3 ml, while men may require approximately 5 ml.
Nose bioplasty or rhinomodeling: This highly sought-after treatment can offer notable results with half a vial or a full vial of hyaluronic acid.
In short, there is no definitive answer, as each patient receives an individualized treatment plan based on their specific needs. For this reason, it is essential to consult a doctor specialized in aesthetic medicine, who will perform a thorough diagnosis to determine the best approach for you.
