Botox and filler aftercare: the complete do's and don'ts guide

You just invested in Botox, fillers, or both — now the most important phase begins: aftercare. What you do (and don't do) in the first 24-72 hours dramatically impacts your results, how long they last, and whether you experience side effects like bruising, swelling, or migration.

This guide is based on current clinical recommendations from the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS) and the protocols we follow at Belleza Latina Clinic, where we treat thousands of patients annually across four locations in Mexico.

Expect mild to moderate swelling and possible redness at injection sites. Fillers may feel firm or lumpy — this is normal and resolves as the product settles. Botox patients may feel slight heaviness in treated areas.
